Decisions, Decisions

I am sitting here in my flat alone, as in no one else here, looking at a new (but old) acquisition. I have recently been given a Samsung music system. The old type with radio, CD, tape and oh yes "record player". The last I have not had access to  in over 3 years and now have to decide which "album" will I play first.

Those of you who know me well will be saying "it has to be a Dylan one. But do I want to leave that to savour later. On this occasion I think so.

Should I choose The Beatles "White Album". Thats the double album in the plain white cover and the unique reference number on the cover. I must admit starting with the rocking Back in the USSR and including While my Guitar Gently Weeps that does sound a very appetizing prospect. Yes we will go with that....

Then I spot The Stones "Sticky Fingers" The one with the real zip on the cover, and starting with "Brown Sugar"

Already you can see the dilemma already. Other possibilities include Stephen Still (the one with Love the One you'r with), Moody Blues on the threshold of a dream, The Nice Ars Longa Vita Brevis, Back to a previous blog with the History of Otis Redding. Another possibility a group called Lighthouse from Canada who I saw at the Isle of Weight Festival in 1970 along with Melanie, and yes she's there too.

In the end I picked the first one off the pile, so am currently listening to Cat Stephens "Teaser and the Fire Cat" with the picture of a chap sitting on the kerb side with a very ginger cat who reminds me of a friendly cat I know called Leo.

So decision made....... but what will I listen to next, maybe on this sunny day The Beach Boys or even........ oh just pik the next one on the pile.
